In recent days, fans of Zhang Ling He ("Pursuit of Jade", "Story of Kunning Palace") have been extremely worried about the actor’s health.

On April 27, a video from the set of the drama "The Road to Glory" surfaced online, showing Zhang Ling He unable to get up without assistance. Everyone grew concerned.

On the morning of April 28, Zhang Ling He logged onto Weibo, saw a flood of comments, and quickly moved to calm his fans.

In his posts, Zhang Ling He explained that he had simply twisted his ankle. He has a sprain, which will cause some discomfort for the first couple of days, as he put it. After that, everything will be fine, he assured them. "For a boy, this is normal," the actor believes. Minor scrapes and bumps happen on every set, and that, too, is normal.

He reassured fans that he can take care of himself and knows what he is doing. The main thing, he said, is not to disrupt the filming schedule, because he is not working alone — a whole team is involved. Maintaining continuity in the shooting sequence is very important. In the end, wrapping up as quickly as possible will allow him to meet his fans face to face sooner.

Zhang Ling He expressed his deep gratitude to the "Forest Nuts" fandom and all viewers for their concern, and assured them that he is doing fine.

The actor’s studio also issued an official statement:

"On April 25, during the filming of an action scene, the artist experienced mild hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) due to intense emotional strain, high physical exertion, and a temporary lack of sugar intake. The filming crew and the artist’s team immediately took action, replenishing his energy and closely monitoring his condition. After he recovered, no visible discomfort was observed. When the team asked whether the shooting schedule should be adjusted, the artist insisted on finishing the day’s work as usual.

On April 26, the artist felt notable pain in his leg. The crew helped the artist’s team arrange a visit from a professional doctor, who conducted an in-person consultation right on the set. The diagnosis was a sprain. The doctor performed appropriate treatment and scheduled a detailed hospital examination for the next day to rule out any other issues.

On April 27, the team accompanied the artist to the hospital for a detailed examination. The diagnostic results showed no more serious problems. He is now strictly following the doctor’s orders. The doctor has advised him to put less weight on his left leg to speed up recovery, so he is currently using only his right leg as his support. His daily diet has also been optimised to promote healing.
