The usual celebrity scandal cycle is playing out in China again. Another couple has been spotted heading into a hotel together.

This time, it's actor Huang Jingyu ("Love Song in Winter", "The Punishment") and actress Wang Yuwen ("My Page in the 90s", "You Are My Lover Friend"). Paparazzi footage shows the two having dinner with a group of 18 friends. The group later moved to a bar, and after 2:30 AM, everyone went home – except for Huang and Wang. They got into a car and drove to a hotel.

According to reports, the car took a winding route (reminiscent of a spy movie escape) and circled the parking lot several times. The two then entered the building together, and neither was seen leaving until morning. The following evening, Huang returned to the same hotel alone.

A classic spy detective story.

Both actors quickly denied any romantic involvement. Their statements were released within minutes of each other and were nearly identical in content:

Huang Jingyu (33): "Thank you for your concern. The online information is inaccurate. This was just a casual get-together with friends; there's no need to read too much into it."

Wang Yuwen (28): "The online information is untrue. This was normal socializing after dinner with friends. We're just friends. Please don't interpret what happened in a negative light."

Online sleuths were quick to dig up past connections. Back in 2024, Wang Yuwen visited the set of her friend Wang Ziqi. However, she was spotted coming out of Huang Jingyu's trailer – which she apparently entered by mistake. Aside from that incident, Wang Yuwen has kept a clean image. She had a single, five-year relationship with actor Yang Le, but that has since ended.

Huang Jingyu, on the other hand, has a more checkered past. Нe was secretly married to artist Wang Yuxin, with the marriage ending just eight years ago. Additionally, parts of the internet continue to buzz with unsubstantiated rumors of a relationship between him and Dilraba.

Honestly, give the guy a break. He's supposed to be training for a trip to space in 2028. Let him live a little.
