Filming for the romantic drama «Blushing When We Meet Again» (再见依然红着脸) commenced on July 16, 2026, in Qingdao.

The lead roles are played by Yu Cheng En («Treasure at Dawn», «Coroner's Diary») and Sun Zhen Ni («Summit of Our Youth», «The Blossoming Love»).

The series is an adaptation of the novel «К жаворонку» by Zhu Zhi. Its central theme is “love and redemption” – a story of first love interrupted by circumstance, given a second chance. Despite the pain of separation, the protagonists find the strength to forgive each other, heal old wounds, and build a new relationship.

The heroine, Zhu Yunque, whose name translates as “skylark”, was quiet and somewhat shy in high school, but over time she grows into a strong and determined young woman. She secretly adores the school heartthrob, the handsome and rebellious Lu Rangchen. He appears cold and unapproachable, but in fact is deeply devoted and fiercely possessive.

Fate unexpectedly brings them together when Zhu Yunque’s mother rents a room in the very house where Lu Rangchen lives. He notices her and remarks with a faint smirk: “I know that girl – the one who kept sneaking glances at me during morning exercises.” That is how their acquaintance begins.

Later, they meet again at university, and their romance flares up swiftly and intensely. But happiness proves short‑lived, and the relationship ends in a breakup. It is Zhu Yunque who initiates the split. Lu Rangchen begs her to stay, but she is adamant. She leaves for abroad, and they part ways for years.

Eight years later, Zhu Yunque returns to her hometown. She turns down a lucrative job in the capital to become a teacher in her native city of Nancheng. There, she crosses paths with Lu Rangchen once more. He has transformed from an arrogant and flamboyant university charmer into a mature, reserved young businessman with a calm and steady temperament. Gradually, the two begin to untangle the web of old resentments and misunderstandings that drove them apart.

The drama is slated to air in the first quarter of 2027 on Hunan TV and Mango TV.
