Filming for the drama «Love Moon» (月下烟火, Yue Xia Yan Huo, 装聋作哑) wrapped on August 30. The series' official social media pages and lead actors announced the completion of work on September 2, releasing group photos, behind-the-scenes videos and farewell posts.

The lead roles are played by Sun Qian («Love Story in the 1970s», «The Early Spring») and Zhang Yunlong («My Special Girl», «Fox Spirit Matchmaker: Love in Pavilion»). Supporting cast includes Ma Sichao, Guo Cheng, Huang Man and Jiao Gang.

The plot is based on the novel «Zhang Long Zuo Ya» (装聋作哑) by Zhou Banniang.

The story takes place in a coastal town.

The heroine Fang Long (Sun Qian) grew up in a well-off family, but after her father went bankrupt and her mother died, she was forced to move in with her aunt. There she meets Zhou Ya (Zhang Yunlong), the aunt's adopted son, who runs a local seafood restaurant. Having lost the opportunity to paint and burdened with debts, Fang Long takes a job at a supermarket.

The relationship between the characters is strained at first: the traumatised girl becomes defiant and often finds herself in trouble, while Zhou Ya, who is older, has to constantly bail her out. The climax comes when Fang Long accidentally learns of Zhou Ya's feelings, after which she begins to make the first move herself. Despite his inner doubts and a lingering sense of forbiddenness, Zhou Ya reciprocates her feelings.

Filming began in early June and lasted nearly three months.

The choice of location became one of the project's most notable stories. The creators visited several coastal cities, but the only one that fully matched the atmosphere of the script was Quanzhou in Fujian province.

Local media reported that the producers were drawn not only by the picturesque views, but also by the authentic atmosphere: old streets with red brick walls, traditional fishing ports, and the neighbourhood character typical of old districts.

Scenes were shot in Jingyuxiang Lane (the name translates from Chinese as «Goldfish»), on Zhongshannan Road, known for its colonial southern-style architecture with porticos on the ground floors, in villages near the fishing port, and at the Nanyuegongkou intersection.

To achieve authenticity, the restaurant sets were filled with local colour: fishing nets, hats, hand-written seafood price boards, and even traditional gongfu tea utensils. City residents gladly lent old household items for props and appeared as extras in the roles of fishermen and neighbours. Local culinary traditions were also incorporated into the characters' daily lives, such as eating runbing pancakes on holidays or serving seafood at weddings.

The drama is expected to have 24 episodes. The release date has not yet been announced; some sources suggest a premiere in 2027.
